Xiaomi Mi 11 Officially Revealed, Prices Start from ~RM3,676

The Xiaomi Mi 11 smartphone has been officially announced, and bears a price tag of EUR749 (~RM3,676) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, and EUR799 (~RM3,922) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. At the time of writing, there is no official pricing for Malaysia yet, but you can expect to be revealed soon as the global rollout is slated to commence this month.

As for specs, it features Qualcomm's top-tier Snapdragon 888 processor with 5G, along with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of non-expandable UFS 3.1 storage. The AMOLED display measures 6.81" with a WQHD+ (3200x1440) resolution, HDR10+, and 10-bit colour support. For gamers, the 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate should prove to be an enjoyable experience.

For handphone photography enthusiasts, the Mi 11 sports a 108MP f/1.85 main camera along with a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5MP telemacro lens. A 20MP punch-hole front camera sits on the top-left of the screen.

Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor that doubles as a heart-rate sensor, as well as a 4,600mAh battery that supports 55W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. A 55W GaN fast charger will be included in the box, along with an antibacterial screen protector and case, which should prove handy during this pandemic.

On the software side, the Mi 11 will run on MIUI 12, and while the status of Google Mobile Services (GMS) was not discussed during the launch, a pre-launch teaser claimed that Google apps will be available on Xiaomi's flagship device.

The Mi 11 will be available in wide variety of colours with two different textures - anti-glare frosted glass in Midnight Gray, Horizon Blue, and Frost White, as well as vegan leather in Lilac Purple and Honey Beige.
