The new HONOR X9a 5G serves as the new generation product of the X series. As a mid-range device, the X9a 5G will be the first time a smartphone is taken in a curved screen which is much more durable compared to other smartphones in the market.
The HONOR X9a 5G comes with a 6.67-inch Ultra Tough OLED Curved Display which is specially designed for HONOR smartphones, using 0.65mm Super Reinforced glass to further enhance the toughness and drop-resistant of the display.

Though the X9a 5G does not come with the 3.5mm audio jack to keep the smartphone good-looking, they do provide the USB-C to 3.5mm earphone jack adapter inside the box so users wouldn’t need to hunt for USB-C earphones/adapters.
Furthermore, the X9a 5G’s display offers a 2400 x 1080 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a hardware-level low blue light certification from TÜV Rheinland. Also, there’s an in-screen fingerprint sensor under the OLED display.
While the back of the HONOR X9a 5G has the same camera ring layout as the HONOR X40 5G(China version), it features a 64MP Ultra-clear Camera, a 5MP Wide Angle Camera, and a 2MP Macro Camera.

Besides, the HONOR X9a 5G is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G(6nm) alongside 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM. The RAM can be extended for another 5GB making it a total of 13GB RAM available, resulting in a smoother experience for users who have a lot of apps running in the background.
Apart from those, the HONOR X9a 5G packs a 5100mAh battery that supports 40W HONOR SuperCharge. It will be available in Titanium Silver, Emerald Green, and Midnight Black colour variants.
As for the pricing and availability, it would probably be under ~RM1500 for a mid-range smartphone. However, if you’re interested in the HONOR X9a 5G, the official launch will be taking place on January 4th, 2023 at 7:00 pm.
