Twitter will launch its widely requested edit button later this month.
In a blog post, the social media company announced that the feature will be available to Twitter Blue subscribers. It gives users 30 minutes after publishing their tweets to make changes such as fixing typos.
Edited tweets will also include a timestamp and label indicating that they had been modified.
“We’re hoping that, with the availability of Edit Tweet, Tweeting will feel more approachable and less stressful,” Twitter said in their blog post.
The edit function has been a long-requested feature since Twitter launched in 2006. Many have joked that Twitter would release anything but an edit button until now.
