The release date for the upcoming Telltale series "The Wolf Among Us 2" has been pushed far back to the year 2023, as announced by Telltale Games on Twitter. Telltale Games state that delaying the game was necessary to ensure the game meet the expectations of the fans.
According to IGN, Telltale Games CEO Jamie Ottilie explains that there are only two ways to meet the 2023 release window which is releasing the game unfinished, which is impracticable.
"If we put this game out and it's not ready, we're going to get torn to shreds,"
Besides that, Telltale Games are also switching the game engines from Unreal Engine 4 to 5 which offers much more interesting features which are worth the effort for the studio to redo "quite a bit of work" that was already done in the Unreal Engine 4.
Telltale Games will continue to work on "The Wolf Among Us 2" in the coming year with a release date of 2024 in mind. "The Wolf Among Us2" will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
