The M6 World Championship (M6) is shaping up to be #GreaterThanEver! MOONTON Games, developer and publisher of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) game has recently conducted the M6 tournament draw while also revealing the activities that will be conducted during the tournament, which includes carnival activities, and an orchestral performance by the Kuala Lumpur Orchestra.
The M6 is the sixth edition of the MSeries, which is the most prestigious award in mobile esports and will start later this month in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where the top 23 MLBB teams will compete for the ultimate glory and win the share of the USD 1 million prize pool.
Malaysia's Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Adam Adli, delivered a speech during the draw and praised the impact of esports, especially the rise of it in Malaysia. The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports also endorsed MOONTON Games and the M6 and announced that MYR 20 million Madani Budget 2025 will be allocated to the esports ecosystem in Malaysia to enhance it. With Selangor Red Giants victory at the Mid-Season Cup 2024, the call for esports talent is rising.
Both Selangor Red Giants and Team Vamos will be Malaysia's representatives for the M6, as both teams placed first and second respectively at the MLBB Professional League (MPL)
Malaysia Season 14 as Selangor Red Giants became the league's first back-to-back champion following their Season 13 and 14 triumphs.
The M6 draw was conducted live during the "M6 Unveiling: Greater Than Ever" event, with
the eight teams from the Wild Card Stage (held from 21 to 24 November) and the 15 teams
from the Main Stage (held from 28 November to 15 December) learning their respective
match-ups.
Malaysian fans can breathe a sigh in relief knowing that both teams managed to get favourable match-ups during the draw as Selangor Red Giants will compete against S2G Esports, who qualified first place at the MTC Turkiye Championship while Team Vamos will contend with Twisted Minds, who won MPL MENA Season 6. Meanwhile, fans may also tune in to an exciting match-up between MPL Indonesia Season 14 champions, Team Liquid ID, take on the MPL Philippines Season 14 champions, Fnactic ONIC PH in the first round of the
Swiss Stage with both teams were seen as favourites to win the tournament.

MOONTON Games also announced that the Grand Finals will open with an orchestral performance by the Kuala Lumpur Orchestra, a first for MLBB esports. The performance was
arranged in collaboration with Kuala Lumpur City Hall (Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur,
DBKL) and the Malaysia Digital Economy (MDEC).
A carnival will also be held for the M6 at Axiata Arena from 13 to 15 December, offering a host of family-friendly booths and activities. Entry to the carnival will be completely free, with more details on registration to be provided at a later date.
Fans can also look forward to the "M6LAYSIA MEMBARA" (meaning "M6laysia Ignites" in
Bahasa Malaysia) event at Bukit Bintang in the morning of 30 November, where prominent
Malaysian personalities– such as Soloz, Alieff Irfan, Hairul Azreen Idris, Ryan Bakery, Zizan
Razak, and Zubir Khan– will pass a burning torch to the pedestal in Lot 10 akin to the
Olympic Torch Relay. This represents the culmination of the #M6laysiakuGemilang (meaning
"Glory to Malaysia" in Bahasa Malaysia) campaign, which invites Malaysians to cheer for
their respective states, each represented by a local personality.
