Previously, we talked about POCO India's marketing team taking us for a ride with their sassy marketing gimmick for the then yet-to-be-released POCO X2.
Now D-Day has arrived, and full specs of the phone has been revealed:
Leading the way is the 120Hz display that they've been hyping up so much, followed by a Snapdragon 730G, up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It also comes with LiquidCool Technology and a 4,500mAh battery and 27W fast charger, both of which were also teased in their pre-launch campaign.
On the back you'll find a quad camera line-up that includes a Sony IMX686 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. It is also capable of 960fps slow-mo video and 4K video capture.
For selfie-lovers, you'll get 20MP and 2MP dual in-screen cameras along with an AI Beautify mode and a Panorama selfie mode, among others.
You can choose from 3 colours - blue, purple, and red - as well as 3 storage variants at relatively affordable prices:
6GB+64GB: Rs.15,999 (~RM925)
6GB+128GB: Rs. 16,999 (~RM983)
8GB+256GB: Rs.19,999 (~RM1,157)
Just for comparison, Poco has also cheekily tweeted a chart pitting the POCO X2 against the realme X2:
POCO India has also confirmed that there will be a limited edition packaging that showcases their fan names as part of the 'X2' logo. Well, that explains all the names we noticed earlier and simply assumed was a result of the developers' vanity. (Sorry guys!)
We still don't know if or when the POCO X2 will be hitting Malaysian shores, but if it is, it's definitely a good option for those looking for an affordable smartphone with a speedy screen.
