Square Enix's Free "AI Tech Preview" Game is Not Intelligent, Steam User Rating of Very Negative

SQUARE ENIX AI Division announced the upgraded version of the adventure game "The Portopia Serial Murder Case" on April 24. The game will be demonstrating the Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology, which makes the AI understand casual language and respond to that just like Facade.

The new version of the game with NLP was supposed to help the AI detective to understand the command from the player. However, the negative reviews on the Steam page have proved that it doesn't work well.

Most of the negative reviews are complaining about how dumb the AI responds to the command from the players. Players were trapped in a loop by getting the detective partner to reply "I'm not sure what to say about that" and "Maybe we should focus on the task at hand?" while the AI tech couldn't search for the right "word" to make progress.

Perhaps, you may give it a go if you have not tried out the new NLP Tech Preview game from Square Enix since it was free on Steam. It would help you to be a more patient person.
