Display
This 16:9 laptop offers brilliant OLED NanoEdge display with 2.8K resolution. The display is super bright and features a cinema-grade DCI-P3 gamut and is PANTONE® Validated for accurate and vivid colours delivery. As a user, you can easily customise the display’s color gamut according to your tasks and preferences.
With many concerns regarding eye comfort during long viewing sessions, this laptop is TÜV Rheinland-certified as it emits 70% lesser blue light!
As the world’s first 120Hz refresh rate OLED laptop with 0.2ms response time, it offers great colours and quality for any kind of usage from creation to day to day work to entertainment. In fact, the 120 Hz 0.2 ms OLED display is faster than a 165 Hz 3 ms LCD IPS display as it reduces ghosting to minimum, making fast-moving visuals smoother and clearer than ever!
Hold on, how does that work? Isn’t the higher the refresh rate is, the clearer? Well, LCD panels and OLED panels are different in terms of how long it takes to refresh each frame. For a 165 Hz 3ms LCD display, it takes a total of 9.06ms to fully load an image. As for a 120 Hz 0.2ms OLED display, it just takes 8.5ms to process the same image.

Performance
There are two CPU options for you to choose from when you consider the Vivobook 15X. Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7. Paired with Radeon integrated graphics, the laptop is enough for basic photo and video editing work. Below is an image of the Vivobook 15X OLED Ryzen 5.
It includes 8 GB of DDR4 RAM (with additional DDR4 SO-DIMM slot) and an ultrafast 512 GB PCIe 3.0 SSD that makes tasks effortless, whether it’s streaming, browsing, editing, video chatting, or just taking care of business at home.
The laptop features ASUS IceCool cooling system which uses upgraded dual heat pipes — a rare feature on entry-level laptops — and an IceBlade fan that efficiently accelerates heat transfer.
The fans and impeller are made of a liquid crystal polymer which makes them lighter and thinner than ordinary fans. On top of that, it uses fluid dynamics bearing so it’s more quiet and vibrates lesser than an ordinary bearing. Packed with all this, the CPU can run comfortably at 45W total TDP in Performance mode with no throttling!
Benchmarks
The performance of this laptop is great for multitasking as I tested its performance when I had multiple Google Chrome windows, Microsoft office apps and Spotify opened. Below is a simple benchmark done on the laptop’s SSD.
Other features
For enhanced security and privacy, the laptop has a physical webcam shield, and a fingerprint sensor for fast password-free login.

The laptop boasts a 180° lay-flat hinge which makes it easy to share and collaborate with people around the table.

In addition to a USB-C® 3.2 Gen 1 port, there are two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, a USB 2.0 port, HDMI® output, and a convenient 3.5 mm audio combo jack.
The full-size ASUS ErgoSense keyboard has a 19.05mm key pitch, a 0.2mm key-cap dish designed to match the shape of your fingertips, and long 1.4mm key travel that gives it an optimum bounce, making it incredibly satisfying when you type.
As for its audio system, it is powered by ASUS SonicMaster. ASUS SonicMaster is a combination of hardware, software and audio tuning. The laptop’s amplifiers, large speakers and resonance chambers, paired with professional-grade audio code and signal processing and tuning, can help you achieve truly immersive sound.
Furthermore, if you don’t have an external microphone on hand for your online meetings, this laptop’s built-in microphone comes with ASUS AI Noise Cancellation feature. It cuts down unwanted noise so participants can hear you clearer.
Lastly, to run this beast anywhere, anytime, without having to be tied to your charger is the large 70WHr battery. Paired with AMD Ryzen™ 5000H series CPU manufactured on the 7nm process, the Vivobook 15X OLED can last up to 14 hours on a single charge!
