Qualcomm Technologies has announced the launch of the Qualcomm Networking Pro A7 Elite, a brand new wireless networking platform which comes with an AI co-processor with 40 TOPS of NPU processing power, the platform delivers elevated Wi-Fi 7 connectivity to revolutionise how people will be able to experience their networks with edge AI integration.
This new platform unlocks new opportunities for both operators and enterprises alike in deploying innovative applications to help maintain both security and health, such as security and surveillance and health monitoring among some of its functions. This helps open the doors for more advanced AI for more devices, ensuring a more reliable and harmonised user experience.
Ganesh Swaminathan, Vice President and General Manager, Wireless Infrastructure and Networking, Qualcomm Technologies claimed that the launch of the Networking Pro A7 Elite utilises key elements which includes 10G Fiber, 5G, Ethernet, RF-Front End modules, and filters all into a single platform and that it not only follows on the demands of the Wi-Fi 7 networks, but it also give rise to a new generation of AI-powered services.
The platform, created for developers and ecosystem partners, speeds up market entry and promotes AI-driven application development by providing access to the Qualcomm AI Hub. This emphasises the company's commitment to innovation and excellence in technology. The global industry support is already embracing this brand new era of utilising AI networking for their Wi-Fi routers and the such.
Phil Solis, Research Director at IDC stated that it was exciting that Wi-Fi gateways, such as the Qualcomm Networking Pro A7 Elite platform, slowly evolving into AI edge platforms as it would help pave the way for a new stage of innovation by closing the gap between cloud AI and on-device AI.
The new Qualcomm Networking Pro A7 Series is currently being tested and will soon be featured by Qualcomm Technologies at Network X in Paris from October 8-10.
