The PUBG MOBILE Super League SEA (PMSL SEA) Spring 2025 is set to take place from February 26 to March 9, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, bringing together 24 teams from across Southeast Asia to compete for a $200,000 prize pool. Matches will be held Wednesday to Sunday, and by the end of the two-week league, the top 16 teams will advance to the Grand Finals from March 14 to 16, which will be played offline with a live audience.

The 2025 PMSL SEA Spring will have TECNO as Official Smartphone Partner. This season brings a new match format from previous tournaments, with Super Weekend. The 24 teams are divided into three groups, where each team from the group will battle other groups. Only 16 teams each week will proceed to Super Weekend.

During the Super Weekend, the 16 teams will battle for League Points, which are given based on their rankings. After the two Super Weekends, the Top 16 teams with the highest League Points will head to the finals and aim for champion.

A new twist is introduced in the second week of Super Weekend with the SMASH RULE. After Saturday’s matches, a Match Point will be set, adding 10 points to the total of the current #1 team. The first team to reach this Match Point and secure a Winner Winner Chicken Dinner (WWCD) on Sunday will immediately end the competition for that week, earning the maximum League Points.

This update brings new changes to the roadmaps, where during local PMNC tournaments provided more slots and opportunities for local grassroots (amateur teams) to qualify for PMSL SEA. Moreover, a PMNC will now be held before every PMSL to act as a qualifier to determine the PMSL SEA teams.

This time around, becoming the champion for PMSL SEA means grabbing an extra slot for their next local PMNC team to qualify for the next season’s tournament. This was awarded to VPE from Thailand, Champion of PMSL SEA Fall 2024, with their extra slot qualifying TEM Entertainment for this season’s PMSL SEA. However, if the new team from PMNC is the champion of PMSL SEA, they will automatically qualify for the next season of PMSL SEA.

The lineup of partner teams bring new faces into the fray, namely HOMEBOIS (HB), Team Secret (TS), eARENA (EA) and MGN VIKINGS ESPORTS (MVKE). BOOM eSports returns to regain their glory after VPE swiped the crown during the Fall season. The intense competition between the PMSL champions will definitely set the stage ablaze.
The PMNC teams qualified for this season are KAGENDRA (KGD), ENAM SEMBILAN Esports (69), MAQNA ESPORTS CLUB (MEC), NEW ERA (NWE), TEAM FLASH (FL), STRANGERS Esports (STES), and OsjaTH (OJTH)
