In the latest Nintendo Direct, Nintendo has announced that they will be launching a new monster-capture game titled Farmagia, and it will be launched on the Nintendo Switch from November 1st. The game is developed by Marvelous who have developed other games such as Senran Kagura Burst and Harvest Moon DS. The game also released a trailer for the game!
The game was first announced by Marvelous back in May 2023 and the it was previously titled "Project Magia", though it was then changed to its current title Farmagia (Farm Magic)
Players take control of a young Farmagia named Ten, a reckless boy with a heart of gold, who lives in the underworld Felicidad alongside his two childhood friends, Acrche a competitive girl with a kind personality and Chica, a more reserved girl who sticks by her Ten and Acrche. Together, they must cultivate their farm and take control of the monsters in order to combat the heinous and oppressive Magus and free the lands.
The game showcases a wide array of features which allows players to control a horde of monsters against the enemies. You'll also be able to increase your army's size by harvesting new monsters in the farm and increase their strength to unlock new abilities for battle! The monsters that you control can also be fused together to make powerful new forms.
Additionally, you'll also be able to befriend small elemental spirits throughout the world in order to increase Ten's relationship bonds to unlock new monsters and abilities!
Furthermore, Marvelous have teamed up with Hiro Mashima, the creator of the popular anime anime series, Fairy Tail, and they had him develop the artwork and character designs. Which is why you might notice similar appearances between characters in the game.
The game will also be voiced and the protagonist, Ten will be voiced by Kōhei Amasaki while his two childhood friends, Arche and Chica will be voiced by Sakura Ayane and Inori Minase respectively. Finally, the in-game's mascot Lookie-Loo will be voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki. Also the game's theme song "dis-dystopia" was performed by Sakura Ayane and Ironi Minase.
The game will be releasing later this year on November 1st, and will be released on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. So if you're excited the game, then be sure to save up until the day of its release!
