MOONTON Games unveiled the 2025 Esports Roadmap for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) at the M6 Summit in Malaysia, announcing a packed schedule of competitive events for the popular mobile esports title.
MOONTON Games confirmed the return of its two major international tournaments: the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2025, scheduled for mid-July to early August, and the M7 World Championship in January 2026. Host countries for these events will be revealed during the M6 World Championship Grand Finals on December 15.
These tournaments will be supported by the MLBB Professional League (MPL) circuits, held twice yearly: from early March to late June and late August to early November.
Mike Chu, Head of Regional Esports & China at MOONTON Games, highlighted MLBB's global growth in 2024 with the launch of the Chinese league and praised the competitive diversity at the M6 World Championship, where four teams from different regions reached the Semi-Finals—a first in M Series history. He attributed this milestone to the game's international expansion, solidifying MLBB as a global esports brand. The 2025 esports calendar will also feature third-party tournaments, including the Snapdragon Pro Series by ESL FACEIT Group and Qualcomm. Key events include the Mobile Challenge Finals in February, Mobile Masters in April, and a new season running from August to November.
The 2025 MLBB calendar will wrap up with the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Thailand in mid-December, where MLBB will debut as the first esports title, featuring both men's and women's medal events. MOONTON Games will support training and provide assistance to all participating teams and national esports federations for their qualifiers.
Additionally, MOONTON Games announced plans to develop an esports ecosystem for Magic Chess: Go Go (MCGG), starting with tournaments in Indonesia and expanding across Southeast Asia. The company is partnering with streaming platforms, influencers, and players to build a dynamic MCGG content ecosystem and community.
The multiplayer strategy game is set in the same universe as MLBB and recently soft-launched in Malaysia and Singapore. It is one of the world's most highly anticipated mobile titles, having surpassed 10 million pre-registrations.
