The tablet also comes in several different colour variations such as Space Grey and Violet. The one I received was the Violet variant.In terms of the back, it features the 13MP rear camera, located in the corner of the tablet.
Furthermore, when purchasing the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5’’S, it also comes with a magnetic casing paired together with HUAWEI Smart Keyboard and HUAWEI M-Pencil, both of which are powered by NearLink technology, which allows users to experience high-speed connectivity and precise positioning when using their products. This is a very good and convenient addition, especially for those who enjoy drawing or for those who want to enjoy a PC-like experience on a tablet.
Overall, while the design of the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5’’S is very simple, I am satisfied with it and feel that it has a unique charm thanks to its simplistic design.

As per its namesake, the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5’’S comes with a decent 11.5-inch screen with a 3:2 Aspect Ratio accompanied with a 2.8k resolution and up to 144Hz refresh rate, this ensures that users will be able to experience an immersive viewing experience when it comes to watching shows, YouTube videos or even gaming! The screen also comes with a DCI-P3 Wide Colour Gamut which helps increase the colour saturation and vibrancy on your screen. This highly benefits users when they’re drawing on the tablet in order to achieve a more accurate colour reproduction.
Additionally, the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5’’S also comes with an ALL NEW PaperMatte display coating that is processed with 27 layers of Nano-level Etching Technology which helps reduce screen reflectivity by 60% as well as eliminates 99% of light interference. The tablet also comes with both Anti-Glare and Anti-Reflection technology which will help ensure that you will be able to watch your screen without any concern of any bright lights, whether indoor or outdoor.

Game Test
Genshin Impact
Although it’s main purpose is not for gaming, the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5’’S is capable of handling high graphic-intensive games such as Genshin Impact. Also, even after setting the game to its highest settings and at 60fps, I was able to play the game without experiencing much issues with lag whatsoever.
As for the battery life, the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5’’S has an impressive battery life of 8800mAh, which is an increase compared to its predecessor, the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5. Furthermore, using Genshin Impact as a reference again, after an hour and 30 minutes of gaming, about 1469mAh power was consumed, even with the game at max settings!
Also, when not using it for work, the tablet is able to run for longer. To showcase this, I used the tablet to watch YouTubes videos for 30 minutes, only 4% of the battery was consumed.
GoPaint App
The release of the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5’’S also comes with the release of HUAWEI’s first ever developed painting application called GoPaint. With it, artists will be able to utilise their creativity to the fullest with the many incredible features that this app possesses. With its wide range of paper textures, users will be able to create realistic and unique artworks easily.
Furthermore, GoPaint also provides many additional features compared to other painting apps, such as up to 320 layers, which is 15% more compared to other brands. Also, in order to perfect your artwork, you’ll be able to utilise up to 100+ brush types in order to perfect your artwork.
Additionally, the GoPaint app also comes with Gesture control technology which ensures that you’ll be able to access many commands throughout the app with only a single touch.
Softwares
