HONOR has officially launched their new HONOR Magic7 Pro in Malaysia! This new AI flagship device comes with many incredible features and AI functions that will not only ensure better accessibility when using it, but also makes carrying out tasks easier. When Game Mode is activated, it comes with several features to help make your gaming experience more immersive and enjoyable, such as the Mistouch Prevention feature, which ensures that users will not be exited out of the game due to a mistouch.

Alongside its impressive features, the HONOR Magic7 Pro also boasts a variety of AI-powered features that is designed to enhance the user experience, from using it to translate face-to-face conversations to effortlessly summarise articles. Such features include AI Deepfake Detection, AI Work, AI Translate, AI Album,Magic Avatar and even Magic Portal 2.0.
AI Deepfake Detection
The HONOR Magic7 Pro comes with the industry’s first on-device AI Deepfake detector solution, the AI Deepfake Detection feature. This feature uses advanced technology in order to digitally analyse manipulated videos made by AI during video calls. While in the call, the AI Deepfake Detection will conduct a scan in order to determine if the content looks real or fake. The detection process focuses on three critical aspects, the eye movement, lighting as well as video quality while in the call in order to determine any signs of manipulation.
If the content is identified as fake within three seconds, a warning message is displayed on the screen to alert the user.

AI Translate
The AI Translate feature on the HONOR Magic7 Pro is able to deliver instant and accurate translations for up to 13 different languages, which helps to overcome language barriers in real-time conversations with this feature. In fact, there are two translation modes for different scenarios: Conversation and Face to Face.
AI Album
With AI Album, users will be able to showcase their creativity as it comes with two AI-powered photo editing tools which can be used to improve the images that they’ve taken: These two tools are the AI Cutout and AI Eraser. In addition to this, the AI Album is also able to group together landscape and architecture pictures automatically into their respective folders.

With the AI Cutout feature, users will be able to precisely and effortlessly extract a single subject from the picture and be independently saved as its own image. This will allow users to be able to creatively edit onto other images as well.

As for the AI Eraser feature, users will be able to erase any unwanted people or objects from the picture that you have just taken and remove them from the image and when removing them, AI will also perfectly restore the background. Thus, ensuring that your picture will remain social-media worthy.

Another new AI feature that the Magic7 Pro offers is the Magic Avatar. With this feature, users will be able to create their own virtual character that will be able to interact with you with its wide range of actions such as fist bumps, yawning and even following the users facial expressions to make. Additionally, you can also apply the Magic Avatar as your Lock Screen image, Cover photo or Profile Picture.

Magic Portal 2.0
Additionally, the HONOR Magic7 Pro also consists of the Magic Portal AI feature, which was first introduced during the HONOR Magic6 Series. With the Magic Portal features, users will be able to access their files much quicker than before, even if they are on another app.
In addition, users will be able to drag both images and texts that they have circled to the various connected apps in Magic Portal in order to carry out different scenarios, such as for shopping, navigation, to their social media accounts, to their email, to search websites and even to Parallel Space.
Furthermore, the Magic Portal 2.0 also comes with several upgraded features over its predecessor, which makes tasks more efficient and user-friendly. Firstly, the Magic Portal ensures that users will have fewer steps in completing their tasks.
Secondly, Magic Portal also includes a text recognition feature within images and users will be able to easily select texts without needing to transcribe it. Thirdly, users will also now be able to edit screenshots within the Magic Portal before saving them to the Gallery.
The final upgrade would be that the Magic Portal 2.0 is now able to support more apps as well, such as both Tao Bao and Xiao Hong Shu, and this is an added benefit for those who frequently use these apps, as they will now be able to easily access them and even make posts via Magic Portal.
Battery
The HONOR Magic7 Pro is equipped with an impressive 5850mAh HONOR 3rd Generation Silicon-carbon Battery which will allow users to be able to use the device for an exceptionally long period of time without worrying about the battery. It also comes with an Advanced 4 in 1 Power Enhanced Chip HONOR E2 which boosts the power management efficiency for the device.
I decided to test out the phone’s battery life with an hour-long gaming session on both Wuthering Waves and Honor of Kings. In Wuthering Waves, a total of 22% of the battery was consumed within the hour while playing the game on the highest settings and while on Game Mode.
Meanwhile, in Honor of Kings, a total of 13% of the battery was consumed in the hour-long session even while the game was set to the highest settings and on Game Mode as well.
Asides from that, I also decided to measure the battery consumption on YouTube as well, watching a YouTube video for an entire hour at 1440p. The results showed that a total of 7% of the battery was consumed during that time.
The Magic7 Pro also comes with a 100W HONOR SuperCharge, which allows the device to be able to fully charge in 33 minutes, as well as a 80W wireless HONOR SuperCharge which fully charges the device in just 44 minutes. When charging the phone, the Magic7 Pro reached 11% in 5 minutes and 37% in 15 minutes. In total, it took 45 minutes for the device to be fully charged which is 12 minutes longer than the stated time.
Verdict
In conclusion, the HONOR Magic7 Pro truly stands out compared to the rest of its competitors, offering a wide range of incredible features blended into a sleek design and ensuring exceptional user experience. In addition to this, it also offers amazing AI features that will definitely benefit its users. Thus, if you’re looking to get yourself a new phone, then I definitely would recommend the new HONOR Magic7 Pro as a worthy candidate, especially with its affordable price tag of RM4,599 for 12GB+512GB Storage Space and RM5,199 for 16GB+1TB Storage Space.
