GIGABYTE has now released their B660 and H610 motherboards with support for the latest Intel Alder Lake processors.
The B660 and H610 motherboards both feature up to 16+1+1 phases DrMOS VRM design with each phase holding up to 60 amps and fully covered thermal design. Both are perfectly capable of supporting the latest 12th Gen Intel Core processors, with other features like support for both DDR4 and DDR5 memory, as well as XMP functions to deliver utmost performance coupled with storage performance, expansions, and flexible network.
While having the B560 chipsets as its predecessor, Intel brought over the overclocking feature with support for both DDR4 and DDR5 memory. DDR4 models can reach an impressive speed of 5600MHz, while the DDR5 models will take advantage of the new memory architecture to provide better power efficiency, low latency, and low power consumption. With that being said, another advanced feature from the Z690 is also available on this chipset.
The BIOS setting now has a "DDR5 Auto Booster" to boost the native frequency of DDR5 from 4800MHz to 5000MHz with a simple click of a button and it will automatically boost your memories after Windows has loaded. Which allows this to improve performance that is exerted in real computing usage. The "DDR5 XMP Booster" allows users to choose from multiple built-in and pre-tuned memory overclocking profiles. Whereas the "XMP 3.0 User Profile" allows users to create and burn in XMP profiles to allow extreme performance of memories. This enhancement allows the GIGABYTE B660 DDR5 motherboards memory frequency to be boosted to XMP 6000 MHz.
The GIGABYTE B660 AORUS motherboards have two integrated sets of PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots with one thermal guard. The design does not only provide maximum performance capped 7000MB/s with the latest PCIe 4.0 SSD, but users can also improve access speed by configuring RAID.
Whereas for connectivity, GIGABYTE B660 AORUS and Gaming series motherboards come with 2.5Gb Ethernet and 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6/ 802.11ac network for the most flexible network. And talking about I/O, selected GIGABYTE motherboards to adopt a USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type C of 20 Gbps and front USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C design that delivers faster and more efficient transmission speed.
