Funcom has officially announced the release date for Dune: Awakening, an open-world multiplayer survival game set on Arrakis, launching on Steam on May 20. Players can get a head start by accessing the newly released Character Creation & Benchmark Mode, allowing them to create characters that can be imported into the game at launch.
Inspired by Frank Herbert’s novel and Legendary Entertainment’s films, Dune: Awakening is developed by Funcom’s experienced team to appeal to both Dune fans and survival game enthusiasts. Check out the latest trailer for a glimpse into the biggest Dune game ever made.

The base game is priced at $49.99/€49.99 (Euros), with pre-orders starting soon. Players who pre-order Dune: Awakening will also receive the Terrarium of Muad’Dib, a beautiful in-base decoration which houses the iconic desert mouse. Observe him well as he goes about his life, for he is wise in the ways of the desert.
