Brazil’s Fluxo takes the crown at Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Global Finals 2024!

Brazilian team Fluxo triumphed at the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Global Finals on Nov 24 in Rio's Carioca Arena, thrilling the home crowd with their victory. Despite starting with no headstart points, they claimed the title with 86 points, securing Brazil's pride with their third FFWS win and a second consecutive championship under Captain Bops. As the Grand Final concluded, Garena announced Free Fire's return to the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in summer 2025, highlighting the game's enduring global esports popularity.

The inaugural Esports World Cup: Free Fire, which took place in July this year, saw participation from the best 18 teams across six local Free Fire tournaments and served as the stage that secured Team Falcons’ win, which took home $300,000 in prize money and the entry in FFWS Global Finals 2024. More details about Esports World Cup: Free Fire 2025 will be revealed down the line.

Team Brazil maintains possession of the global FFWS championship title

Fluxo’s lineup featured Bops (Captain), Giuh, BuTziN, MT7, Renan, and coach LUUKING. This win marked a second consecutive World Series title for Bops, Giuh, and BuTziN, who were part of Magic Squad's triumph last year. Despite a weak showing in the Point Rush Stage, Fluxo, energized by their Rio supporters, secured back-to-back BOOYAHs in matches two and three, clinching the Global Finals crown with another BOOYAH in the sixth match.

The Grand Final also witnessed the rise of Indonesia’s RRQ Kazu, who claimed the first BOOYAH of the day and concluded their FFWS Global Finals run in second place with 83 points. Another team to watch was Brazil’s E1, who, without any headstart points or BOOYAHs, collected 74 points from scratch to finish in fourth place.

WASSANA celebrated as the FFWS MVP for exceptional performance

WASSANA of Buriram United Esports was awarded FFWS Most Valuable Player (MVP) for his outstanding and consistent performance throughout the global tournament. The MVP Leaderboard standings remain largely unchanged since the Knockout Stage a week ago, save for the entry of Fluxo’s Bops at #5, with 3 MVP awards and an elimination score of 70.

World-class artistes Alok, Anitta, and Matuê delivered riveting performances during the Opening Ceremony

The Grand Final kicked off with an electrifying performance by world-class DJ and music producer Alok, who performed a remix of the classic track “Vale-Vale”. Trap musician Matuê then took the stage with a collaborative track titled “Bang Bang”, raising the roof as the audience danced and sang along. Finally, pop artist Anitta rounded off the Opening Ceremony with songs “Tropa”, “Funk Rave”, and “Movimento da Sanfoninha”, before the final 12 teams of the FFWS Global Finals were ushered onstage for the ultimate showdown.
