Samsung has released a video of behind the scenes of some innovative tests for the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G and Galaxy Z Fold3 5G, which include the environmental chamber, IPX8 water resistance test, S Pen usability, and folding test.
The environmental chamber tests ensure that features like video playback and components like cameras work properly under different climates, from dry to humid and hot to cold. The water resistance tests establish the foldables as the first water-resistant foldable smartphones with tests in different folding positions, including Flex mode.
To ensure the performance of the digitizer underneath the foldable display including where it folds, Samsung has run the S Pen drawing tests. If you don't already know, the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G supports a dedicated S Pen. Additionally, Samsung has also undergone rigorous folding tests to outlast 2000001 folds, which is around 5 years of use if folded and unfolded 100 times a day.
