During its "Peek Performance" event, Apple announced a new affordable iPhone - the iPhone SE (2022) - with 5G connectivity support.
It has the same design as the iPhone SE 2020 with a 12MP single rear camera housed on the top left corner. On the front is a 4.7" display with large bezels on the top and bottom. Both front and back panels are protected by "the toughest glass in a smartphone."
While the device supports 5G connectivity, it uses the sub-6 GHz band instead of 5G mmWave bands. Running iOS 15, it is powered by the A15 Bionic chipset to improve battery life. For charging, it supports fast-charging and Qi wireless charging.
The new iPhone SE 2022 offers three storage options: 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. It comes in three color variants: midnight, starlight, and (PRODUCT)RED. The prices of the new generation iPhone SE are as follows:
