ACS EDU Tour Season 3 Ends with an Unforgettable Grand Finals and a Historic Achievement

The ACS EDU Tour Season 3 concluded with an electrifying two-day Grand Finals at The Boulevard, Berjaya Times Square, showcasing Malaysia's top esports talent. Sixteen elite teams battled fiercely for the national championship, keeping audiences captivated throughout the event.

The final day was marked by the presence of YB Hannah Yeoh, Minister of Youth and Sports, who toured the venue, interacted with participants, and presented prizes to the top three teams. Her inspiring speech underscored the promising future of esports in Malaysia, leaving a lasting impression on attendees.

The success of the event was made possible by the contributions of its esteemed partners. Unifi Mobile served as the Official Presenter, while ZTE | nubia Malaysia was the Official Smartphone and Safi the Official Personal Care brand. Their booths and participation significantly enhanced the Grand Finals experience. Strategic partners, including the Malaysia Esports Federation (MESF), Esports Integrated, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, played a key role in supporting the tour, alongside the State Finals broadcast partner, Asia Pacific University (APU), Official Radio Station HotFM, Official Venue Berjaya Times Square, and additional supporters F&N Malaysia and Midea Scott & English Electronics.

With that said, in a stunning showcase of skill, Vampire Songlap from Perlis emerged as National Champion, taking home the grand prize of RM20,000. Gamesmy Esport from Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur and PTSB Esport from Kedah secured second and third places, winning RM15,000 and RM12,000, respectively, completing an unforgettable lineup of winners.

The event’s energy was unmatched, with passionate fans cheering for their favorite teams and creating an incredible atmosphere. Season 3 set a new benchmark for esports in Malaysia, signaling even greater things to come.

Adding to the celebration, CRIT Esports Malaysia achieved a significant milestone by receiving a prestigious Malaysia Book of Records recognition for organizing the Largest Varsity Esports Tournament. This impressive feat involved participation from 109 universities nationwide, surpassing the initial target of 100 activations. The recognition ceremony became even more memorable as YB Hannah Yeoh, Minister of Youth and Sports, signed the certificate as a witness to the award. The honor was then presented on stage to the founders of CRIT Esports, Mr. Randy Lim and Mr. Joshua Lew, marking a monumental achievement not only for the organization but also for the Malaysian esports community as a whole.

Partner Booths and Activations Elevate the ACS EDU Tour Grand Finals

The ACS EDU Tour Season 3 was made even more impactful through the initiatives and support of its dedicated partners, who contributed at every stage—from the University Qualifiers to the State Qualifiers across East and West Malaysia.

Unifi Mobile played a pivotal role by empowering over 6,000 players with 5G and 4G connectivity through their UNI5G WOW Prepaid packs during the tour. This ensured participants and the gaming community enjoyed seamless mobile connectivity, enabling an immersive 5G gaming experience anytime, anywhere.

In addition to Unifi Mobile, Unifi TV expanded the tour’s reach by broadcasting the State Qualifiers and the two-day live Grand Finals on its newly launched sports channel, Unifi esports (Channel 702). This marked a milestone for CRIT Esports, reflecting Unifi's dedication to the Malaysian esports industry while showcasing the talents of young gaming professionals to a nationwide audience.

ZTE | nubia also played a significant role, partnering with CRIT Esports to launch the impactful Scream For Charity campaign, an anti-bullying initiative. This campaign featured a "scream machine" at each university venue, where participants made donations and screamed into the machine to complete the act. The campaign successfully raised RM10,000, which was donated to Monsters Among Us (MAU), a local NGO focused on combating systemic violence against children.

Safi further contributed to the tour by championing inclusivity, particularly for female players. Beyond providing branded giveaways, they supported all-female teams with a three-month supply of products, including Safi Shayla Hair & Hijab Parfum Mist and Safi Hijabista Whitening Deodorant. Safi's commitment to empowering female gamers aligns with CRIT Esports’ shared vision for fostering diversity and growth within the esports industry.

On-ground ACS EDU Tour, Season 3 Activities

The energy on-ground at Berjaya Times Square on both days was amplified by stunning performances, including mesmerizing vocals from CRIT talent Muna Shahirah, who pulled some heart strings with her emotional performances.

To add onto the Grand Finals, there was also a high-energy flash mob by Art Berat Sesh (ABS) and dynamic routines from Team Malaysia Cheerleading, both presented by CRIT Esports, Unifi Mobile and ZTE | nubia. Together, they created a truly vibrant and unforgettable atmosphere.

To celebrate the competitive spirit of esports, CRIT hosted a star-studded 8v8 Team Deathmatch showdown featuring KOLs in partnership with ZTE | nubia. Additionally, a special all hijabi girl team PUBGM match, held in collaboration with Safi, highlighted female empowerment in esports, adding to the entertainment of the event.

To further add on to the festivities of the days, fans also enjoyed exciting rewards - including a 2024 Yamaha PG-1 motorcycle contest with one lucky winner driving away with the bike and an all-expenses-paid trip to London for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship, awarded to three winners who also received custom winter jackets sponsored by CRIT exclusively for Unifi Mobile customers.

Looking Ahead

As this season closes, CRIT Esports Malaysia is already gearing up for an even more exhilarating future with new games, fresh approaches, and exciting rewards for gamers of all backgrounds.

Stay connected with them on social media for updates. Until next season—stay safe and game on!
