Acer Unveils Three New Chromebooks

Alongside the Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition, Acer has also unveiled three new Chromebooks designed for productivity, entertainment, and communication - the Acer Chromebook Spin 513, Acer Chromebook 315, and Acer Chromebook 314.


Acer Chromebook Spin 513

Coming in a svelte design and a durable aluminum case, the Acer Chromebook Spin 513 is powered by the MediaTek Kompanio 1380 processor with up to 10 hours of battery life. It features a 13.5" VertiView display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 2256 x 1504 resolution. The convertible laptop can be used in four modes such as tablet mode and tent mode. It has military-grade MIL-STD 810H durability and supports Wi-Fi 6.


The Acer Chromebook Spin 513 will be available in EMEA in April starting at EUR649 and in North America in June starting at US$599.99 (~RM2,511).


Acer Chromebook 315

The Acer Chromebook 315 features a huge 15.6" FHD display on an IPS panel. It has an anti-glare and an optional touch-screen display. The large keyboard has a dedicated numeric keyboard. For online meetings or video chats, the laptop has a wide field of view HDR webcam with flare-reducing technology and a pair of built-in microphones.


Featuring the latest Intel processors and Wi-Fi 6, it comes with 2 USB Gen 2 Type-C ports and a microSD card reader. The OcenGlass touchpad is made entirely out of ocean-bound plastic waste recycled into a glass-like texture.


The Acer Chromebook 315 will be available in North America this month starting at US$299.99 (~RM1,255) and in EMEA in late Q1 starting at EUR399.


Acer Chromebook 314

Designed for students, the Acer Chromebook 314 is powered by the latest Intel processors and has MIL-STD 810H durability. It supports Intel Wi-Fi 6 and can last for up to 10 hours. Its 14" FHD IPS touchscreen display features an anti-glare coating. It also comes with two built-in microphones and a flare-reducing webcam with temporal noise reduction (TNR) technology for better video quality under low-light conditions. Other features include DTS Audio, OcenGlass touchpad, and a pair of USB Type-C ports.


The Acer Chromebook 314 will be available in EMEA in April starting at EUR369 and in North America in June starting at US$299.99 (~RM1,255).


The new Acer Chromebooks all run Chrome OS and support web-based apps as well as apps on Google Play Store.
